Bluetooth SIG, Inc. does not make, manufacture, or sell Bluetooth enabled products. The main tasks for Bluetooth SIG are to publish Bluetooth specifications, administer the qualification program, protect the Bluetooth trademarks, and evangelize Bluetooth wireless technology.

Bluetooth SIG has offices throughout the world and a growing staff of marketing, engineering, and operations professionals.

Bluetooth SIG Members

The SIG has more than 16,000 member companies, which are leaders in the telecommunications, computing, consumer electronics, automotive, industrial automation, and network industries. SIG members drive the development of Bluetooth wireless technology, and implement and market the technology in their products.

Make sure to register now if your company is interested in using Bluetooth wireless technology but is not yet a member of the Bluetooth SIG. There are many benefits associated with being a Bluetooth SIG member. Bluetooth Wireless Technology

Bluetooth wireless technology is the global short-range wireless standard enabling connectivity for a broad range of electronic devices. The technology continues to evolve, building on its inherent strengths – small-form factor radio, low power, low cost, built-in security, robustness, ease-of-use, and ad hoc networking abilities. Bluetooth v4.0 unifies these evolutionary advancements and provides manufacturers and consumers with low energy and high speed features for connecting wirelessly. Manufacturers and consumers can choose to activate one or all of these features in Bluetooth enabled devices, depending on device functionality. More than eight new Bluetooth enabled products are qualified every working day and more than 30 million Bluetooth units are shipping per week. There are over three billion Bluetooth devices in the marketplace, making it the only proven wireless choice for developers, product manufacturers, and consumers worldwide.
